Polar Express Church Christmas Party

I made a cardboard Polar Express Train for our Church Christmas Party last year.

I bought large cardboard boxes and large rolls 

of blue, black, white, yellow and red art paper from The Schoolbox.

I saved a lot of Polar Express Party ideas on my Polar Express Pinterest Board.

Decorating with "Dressing Your Truth"

In Carol Tuttle's Energy Profiling system I am a Type 2, and I have a natural preference for decorating with curves and flowing lines. 

Here is a quick overview of each Type:

Type 1: The bright, animated person who has a gift for new ideas and possibilities. The Type 1 expression is naturally upward, light, and upbeat. 

Type 2: The soft and calming person who has a gift for gathering details and making plans. The natural movement of Type 2 is fluid and flowing.

Type 3: The swift and dynamic person who has a gift for moving into action quickly to create practical results. The natural movement of Type 3 is active and reactive.

Type 4: The structured and exact person who has a gift for looking at the world through a critical eye and perfecting it. The natural movement of a Type 4 person is constant and precise.

My bed's headboard and footboard show my preference for Type 2 curves.

Family Photos October 2014!

My daughter, Sydney, and her husband, Lance, came to visit for a few days in October and we were able to have a fabulous family photo shoot!  Here are some of my favorites.

(she's pregnant and due in a few months)
